Dr. Field has been training medical hypnosis since 1978 and is an Approved
Consultant of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), the highest
level of certification. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical
Psychotherapists and the American Academy of Pain Management, a Diplomate -
Fellow Prescribing Psychologist and is founding President of the Los Angeles
Academy of Clinical Hypnosis, a component society of ASCH.
She has presented at national conferences of the American, Australian, Canadian
and International Societies of Clinical Hypnosis, at numerous regional
societies, and teaches hypnotherapy at UCLA and other universities. She is on
staff at the Tarzana Regional Medical Center and consults on pain control and
depressive disorders.
Dr. Field is a licensed psychologist, licensed Marriage, Family Therapist and
hypnotherapist in private practice in Tarzana and is co-author of The Good Girl
Syndrome (MacMillan, 1986), and author of The Magic of Anger in
Chocolate for a Woman’s Soul.
She has participated in many radio and television interviews including Donahue,
Hour Magazine, Tom Snyder and Michael Jackson.
