Hi Dr. Elly and Boris,
I had such a great time at the workshop in San Mateo! I'm
still reeling from it--it was so mind -blowing (in the best
sense of course). I loved it, and I'm using stuff everyday in
my practice and am studying the workbook.
I'm distributing your post cards at Sacramento and Stocton
area Kaiser Permenente--concentrating on LCSW's and MFT's (a
little affirmative action for us). I'm bragging you up among
my colleagues
I just finished "Brain Storms!" It was great...I think Brian
Weiss needs to read it. And it would make a great movie.
Fascinating!
Speaking of movies, I know you would love to see "What the
Bleep Do We Know" about studies of perception,
consciousness, brain, quantum physics etc...Please get a DVD
player and watch it.
Much love to you, and may all that you've given return to
you one hundred fold!

This was the best training I have ever attended. A
virtual and practical salad bar / smorgasbord of hypnotherapy techniques.
Guaranteed for the students to walk away well nourished.

Clinical Neuropsychologist
Westlake Village, CA.
I took an NLP
Workshop from
one of the originators. I was not able to understand what was happening or how
and when to use these skills until Dr. Field's magnificent workshop. Her clever
manner of demonstrating these skills and their practical applications - is
AWESOME!

Ph.D., San Francisco, CA
Class provided much more than I expected. A very
practical and informative training. This class ought to be mandatory for all
clinicians in private practice. Dr. Field "knows her stuff" and is able to
communicate on all levels. This class = A+.

Informative
beyond my expectations, effective, insightful, impactful, and most important of
all, immediately meaningful and useful.
-- Dan Paine, Ph.D.

"Well presented - very interesting approaches which I previously had no
familiarity with. Has been useful and valuable beyond my expectations".
-- Roger Tilton, Ph.D.
Riverside, CA.
This has been
one of the most interesting and exciting
learning experiences I have ever had. I can
see much applications of the information
learned to my private practice. Thank you!
-- Dr. Mucolino, Ph.D.
The course has been
wonderful. For me it has opened new areas of
thinking, not only about hypnosis, but about
the human mind. Technically I feel the
presentations by you on film and
availability of books and tapes were
excellent, but I thought the best part was
your real demonstrations. They were
fascinating to watch and even more so to be
a participant. Practice by me made me quite
nervous but was extremely valuable. You gave
this course an energy and warmth that
surrounds it all and makes it glow.
Thank you for
excellence.
-- Lynne Spector, Ph.D.
Phoenix, Arizona
Most informative
workshop I've ever attended. Has added an
entire dimension to my practice that I feel
confident in using immediately.
Demonstrations and written handouts as well
as the practice were most valuable.
-- Paul Montgomery, PhD

Great job! This was
one of the most wonderful and enjoyable
educational experiences of my entire
graduate undertakings.
-- Leslie Mankhan, Ph.D.
San Jose, CA.
I liked being in
the living room atmosphere. Very personal. I
enjoyed the course tremendously and think it
will be extremely beneficial to my practice
opening new doors and avenues to working
with my clients. Elly is a great teacher and
fun to be with. I really enjoyed Elly.
-- Jonathan Green, Ph.D.

The most valuable
aspects of the course were the teaching of
the different methods in hypnosis, the
demonstrations, and the practice periods. It
was an excellent course. One of the best
that I have taken in years. Practical,
useful, down to earth, well organized,
interesting, and well presented. It had been
a long time since I have felt that I could
return from a workshop and actually use the
information and the new learning. A rare
experience.
-- Hanna Worth, M.D.
This was a wonderful course filled with
valuable exercises. I'm glad that you
demonstrated all aspects. I will be using
them immediately with my clients. You were
clear and receptive to all questions. I just
loved this and know it will be most helpful
for all my clients! Thank you!
-- John Night, Ph.D.
I found all the
material to be valuable. I particularly
enjoyed the hypnoanalysis. The eclectic
nature of the course is great. Elly is
great! I highly recommend the course and
specifically, Elly, because of her friendly,
caring, and very knowledgeable manner and
style. A wonderful learning experience!
-- Madeline Ryan, Ph.D.

Enjoyed this
course. It paid for itself in the first two
days.
-- Amy Walsh, Ph.D.
Elly - This was
just excellent. You have a wonderful command
of the material and the demonstrations. You
are wonderful. Thanks so much!
-- Gary Rollis, M.D.
One of the peak
experiences of my life! You are truly a
talented teacher. I came away a changed
person!
-- Shelley Smith, Ph.D.

I very much enjoyed
the small class size and the tremendous
amount of interaction with the instructor.
This was very helpful!
-- Ann Heison, M.D.
New York, NY
In a word,
excellent!
-- Paul Gilman, Ph.D.
Highly effective
utilization of an intimate environment
setting directed toward active participation
of each student attending. Especially
impressive was the presentation of actual
case histories. I have definitely enhanced
my personal field of knowledge
and feel my scope of
practice has benefited.
-- Richard Nolan, M.D.
Excellent course -
would recommend whole heartily to any
psychologist or psychiatrist or to certain
types of social workers. I think psychology
professional universities would benefit
also. It is another way to look at human
behavior.
-- Ed Spector, Ph.D.
I was very fortunate to
attend a workshop conducted by a true
Master of Hypnotherapy, Dr. Elly Field.
Not only did I learn specific techniques
of hypnotherapy, but also I was inspired
to move into an exciting and magical
area of clinical work, filled with
direct and indirect suggestions,
ideodynamic processes, trance,
metaphors, and profound transformations.
I have become a more thoughtful
clinician as a result of this workshop,
and I am truly grateful to Dr. Field for
her personal attention, kindness, grace,
dedication to her students, and support.
I also appreciate Mr. Boris Field for
sharing his wealth of knowledge along
with his efforts to make this workshop a
safe and pleasant place to attend for 5
days in a row.
May your Persian garden
continue to heal and inspire your
patients and students as it has healed
and inspired me!
Happy Holidays! Thank
you again!

The suite was very cozy and comfortable and for those of us who
stayed here, the accommodations were extremely comfortable. Dr. Elly's
demonstrations were excellent and the open participation of class members
was so impressive. This has been a thoroughly enjoyable, educational,
motivational, and inspirational experience. When I began, I wished I
had the 5 days behind me. When I finished I wished I had the 5 days in
front of me.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of Eleanor Field, Ph.D. I have had the privilege of
knowing, studying from, and working with Dr. Field for several years
in my profession as a licensed clinical neuropsychologist. I first met her as an attendee at
one of her nationally-acclaimed workshops on hypnotherapy. During that intensive week course,
I was able to observe and learn from one of the real experts in
hypnotherapy. Clearly she
demonstrated substantial knowledge in this treatment (and sometimes
diagnostic) modality. However,
I also observed a very caring, sensitive, and competent clinical
psychologist actually performing and discussing a very complex
modality. She emphasized what
I strongly believe is the only sophisticated way to apply hypnosis
in a therapeutic setting, namely integrating it into a total
therapeutic program in which hypnosis is only one very important
component in addition to other techniques and principles. She also demonstrated great
compassion and sensitivity during that week. For example, it was necessary on
numerous occasions for her to demonstrate hypnosis on several
attendees, all of whom were licensed therapists. This involved professionals
“exposing” themselves in front of their peers and revealing very
sensitive and personal material. Dr. Field handled these situations
with great caring and sensitivity.
Since that workshop, I have utilized the principles and
techniques Dr. Field taught me in medical and therapeutic settings
with my clients, including the operating room for surgeries. I consider myself very
competent. However, on several
occasions I have had clients who needed “the best”. Without hesitation, I referred them
to Dr. Field, and she did not disappoint. A very recent case was one of the
most complex cases I have seen of severe post-traumatic stress
disorder. A very dedicated and
competent ER nurse had become terrified of hospitals and medial
personnel, secondary to a resection of a pituitary cyst and a
serious steroid-induced psychotic reaction. Dr. Field and I worked together on
this case, with the result being that this nurse has returned to
work full-time as an ER nurse, after more than a year of her having
little hope of ever returning to work as a nurse, much less in the
intensive environment of the emergency room. Dr. Field’s work with this patient
was critical to this successful ending.
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate
to call me at (805) 449-8777.
