Your Life, Your Business
“Good Grief, You Taught Me
a Lot, Charlie Brown!”
1. Communication is the essence of a
relationship
The Peanuts
crew was aware of the importance of talking.
Upon the brick wall, or resting on Schroeder’s piano, Charles Schulz’s
creations always discussed their concerns with each other. Communication---discussion---brainstorming
sessions---even letting a fellow worker know when you are upset with him---is
so important. The techniques of
Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) can help one to model the behavior of
others. You can learn to communicate,
even in difficult situations---in dramatically important ways, by using NLP, a
form of hypnotherapy. Psychology Today declares that NLP is
the best technique to affect change in individuals. One such procedure brings forth your own inner resources from
successful situations in the past and superimposes them upon less than
satisfying situations today. This is
called anchoring and is used to overcome fears, absenteeism, smoking
and other behavioral abuses. For more
information, or a scientific article I wrote on NLP, contact me at

2.
Listening is a primary function on the Keep a Relationship List
Lucy was self
indulgent but still knew how important it was to listen to others. She originated the “Psychiatry Booth” where
she listened to all those who needed a sounding board. It’s so important in business for leaders to
hear what their employees have to say and for the employees to hear each
other. Inspiration, focusing and
motivation in your leaders and employees emerges from treating all on an equal
basis and listening to their concerns and issues. Hypnotherapeutic interventions can assist employers and others in
programming themselves to become listeners.
A philosopher 3000 years ago said, “As the mind does perceive, the mind
does achieve.” Good businesses learn to
use visualization to get on the road to productivity.
3.
Huge dreams put one on the road to huge accomplishment
As Walt Disney
said, “If you can dream it---you can do it.”
Snoopy was the biggest dreamer.
His awesome imagination set him on a journey of fantastic
adventure. Have a big dream and have an
incredible life! Important dreams can
be generated in the hypnotic state and learning self hypnosis is easy whether
you get professional help or work through a book on the subject. Among the books I have written is
"A SMARTY'S GUIDE TO SELF HYPNOSIS".
4,
Take action now!
Charlie Brown
was often reminded by Linus that Action Brings About Change. Like the rest of us who are motivational
speakers, Tony Robbins states that after you set your goals, list three
behaviors to get started and DO THEM
TODAY. Dr. Elly’s anchoring
procedure can have you learn and DO, utilizing
your successes in the past to produce your goals today.
5,
Utilize Persistence---Never Give Up
Charlie failed
and yet never quit. Yes, Lucy would
take the football from under his feet---and the tree would hide his
kites---. Nevertheless he still kept
on DOING---not just “trying”. If you
fail in one of your journeys, Modify, Re-Motivate and Go for the Goal!
Doers build self confidence. Self confidence makes for happiness. A happier you will create a better
business. You can learn to use
hypnotherapeutic techniques in your business.
I promise you will never quack like a duck; rather your business will
receive the benefits and you will become an improved and more productive
person.
